Aaron Thomas, a junior at Redondo Union High in California, finished fifth in the boys varsity 3-mile race at the Bay League championship meet on his home course. Thomas clocked 14:58.5 to help Redondo Union finish second behind Mira Costa by a 39-43 margin and advance to the CIF-Southern Section Division 1 prelims Nov. 13 at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.
